Michael Conley enlisted in the Maryland Continental Line in 1778, serving as a private in the 6th Company commanded by Captain Wright and 2nd Maryland Regiment of Foot commanded by Colonel Thomas Price.
He departed Valley Forge in June 1778 to engage in the Battle of Monmouth. Conley was discharged in March 1779.
