The 250 trees along the DAR Pathway of the Patriots serve as a living tribute to honor the memory and the spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence.
"Give me liberty or give me death!"
– Patrick HenryThe Pathway borders the 25-mile Schuylkill River Trail. The trail begins at Bartram’s Garden, the oldest surviving botanical garden in North America and continues to Valley Forge National Historical Park, winter encampment site for the Continental Army.
The Patriots honored on the Pathway contributed to the cause for American independence during the Revolutionary War. Their service is military, civil or patriotic in nature.
