Fleet Cooper Sr. was born about 1722, in Virginia, British Colonial America as the son of Benjamin Cooper. He married Marguerite Coor (Coore) in 1747, in Virginia, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He died in 1802, in Sampson, North Carolina, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Salemburg Baptist Church Cemetery, Salemburg, Sampson, North Carolina, United States. He served as a civil officer; Judge of the Court of Common Pleas and Quarterly Sessions in Sampson, North Carolina. Later in life, he became a pioneer Baptist Minister in Sampson and Duplin Counties in North Carolina.
