Adam served in the Revolutionary War first as a Private and then as a Sergeant in the Company of Captain Henry Christ and Captain Anderson.
He was wounded at the battle of Brandywine by a musket ball passing through his chest.
He was pensioned March 4, 1789.
Adam married Elizabeth Follmer, probably before 1778 in Pennsylvania. He appears in the 1790 U.S. Census as living in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Adam Crist’s will was probated in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania April 29, 1808. His documented children are Adam, Maria, Martha, Catharine, Henry and John.
