David married Martha (nee Story), and they lived in Union County, South Carolina.

He and Martha were members of the Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church, where they are both buried. Their markers read “D. N. Died Feb. 22, 1816,” and “M. N. Died May 17, l835.” David was on the building committee to construct a new Church building in 1809. David Norman died intestate and his wife, Martha, and son Jesse Norman, were appointed administrators of his estate. David and Martha had 11 children, though their birth order is unknown: John, Elizabeth Norman Martin, Martha Norman Cooper, Margaret Norman Huston, Jonathan, David (first name probably James), Thomas, William, Jesse, George and Dicey Norman.

During the years 1817, 1818 and 1819, each legatee received $455.34 as their individual parts in the estate of their father, David Norman.

The above information was taken from the family history researched and written by Claude F. Norman.
