Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution

Donor

Pennsylvania State Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The unknown soldier was born in the early 18th century. He or she served with the local militia or the Continental Army. He or she fought in over 1300 skirmishes and battles and ten campaigns throughout the thirteen colonies and Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, and Florida between 1775 and 1783.

Freedom is a light for which many men and women have died in darkness. The independence and liberty you possess are the work of joint councils and joint efforts of common dangers, suffering and success. This tree is dedicated to the memory of the unidentified patriots who died to give you liberty.
